T’was a few weeks before Christmas and all through the town
People were worried the world seemed so down.
The children were inside virtually learning on Zoom
The parents were working from home in the next room
Senior Citizens were tired of being alone
Missing their Senior Centers the place they called home.
Business Owners were worried about how they would survive
While the nurses and doctors were busy keeping people alive.
Then out of the darkness what should appear
But a light parade of vehicles blowing sirens for all to hear.
People flocked to the street to witness the sight
Of beautiful colors that lit up the night.
The Children were laughing and jumping high up in the air.
Adults smiled like children and waved without care.
For a moment in time Woodbridge Township came together
To take part in a night we all would remember.
So Thank you First Responders for the joy that you gave
To start off our holiday season with the Woodbridge Township Light Parade!
