The Woodbridge Township Varsity Ice Hockey team had an impressive season ending with a 12-2-1 record which earned them the number 1 seed for the GMC Playoffs and the teams first Division Championship. From here the Woodbridge Township team entered the GMC playoffs beating Edison to make its way to the GMC Championship Game vs Monroe. Woodbridge Township Ice Hockey beat Monroe in the Championship Game to earn the program’s first GMC Championship in history. Next up for the Township Ice Program is the NJSIAA State Tournament. Coach Rotella once again gained the title as GMC Coach of the year. Numerous players from Woodbridge Township Ice Hockey also received GMC Honors this season. Ryan Lukko, Hubert Polchlopek, and Chris Walusz earned First Team All Conference Awards. Dylan Godsil,
Chris Ferguson, Aiden McCarthy, Braeden Rafferty, and Colin Snyder all earned GMC Honorable Mentions for their effort during the 2021-2022 season.
Other big milestones accomplished this season include Ryan Lukko and Hubert Polchlopek both reaching 100 career points. This is a huge accomplishment since Hubert Polchlopek is a junior and Ryan Lukko is only a sophomore.
