Join us in the fun as we kick off the Season of Giving!
This Saturday, November 16, 2019 members of the Woodbridge Township Community will come together to bring awareness to hunger by walking in the 7th Annual Turkey Trot down Inman Avenue in Colonia. The Trot will leave School 21 at 11:30 am then proceed down Inman Avenue along the sidewalks to the Evergreen Senior Center where a small Fall Festival will be held. The event, due to cold weather, will be held inside the Evergreen Center, though the hayride will still be held outside. There will be a face painter, crafts, music and a pumpkin patch where the children can pick pumpkins and then decorate them. There will also be hot chocolate and light refreshments. This is a free event, we only ask that you bring a food item (or basket of food) to be put into our baskets for local families for Thanksgiving. Residents wanting to donate food items and turkeys can do so that day between the hours of 10am and 1:30 pm. All food items will be packed up for local Woodbridge Township families in need so that they can have a nice meal for Thanksgiving. Any resident who would like to donate an item or turkey and can’t make it that day can call Debbie Meehan at 732-382-0273.
