On Saturday, September 14, 2019, sixty three volunteers joined Assembly Speaker, Craig Coughlin, to glean potatoes at Von Thun’s Country Farm Market. Gleaning is an act of collecting leftover crops from farmers after being commercially harvested and then donating them to the food banks. Volunteers worked together and collected a total of 2.5 tons of potatoes (the weight of an average SUV). All produce collected were donated to the Middlesex County Food Bank and will be delivered into the hands of NJ families this week. #HungerHeroes #HungerActionMonth #WoodbridgeBestTownAround#HungerKnowNoSeason#HarvestForHunger
